Today I am sick. Swollen glands, stuffed up nose, no energy kind of sick. My kids are feeling under the weather too. Both kids have runny noses and Phoenix has been really crabby...which isn't all that normal for him. He's usually a pretty happy kid. I just put him down for his nap (praying that he sleeps long and wakes up feeling better), and Zadie is sitting in the rocking chair watching Tinkerbell. Today is going to be another pj's and movies kind of day. There is always a lot that needs done around here, but it will keep.
Today as I was rocking Phoenix to sleep (yes, I still rock my 2 year old), I looked down into his sweet little face and was overwhelmed (again) with love for him. What a precious gift he is. It's hard to believe that he's 2 already.
And Zadie...oh what a character she is! She keeps us on our toes with her independence, stubbornness and affectionate nature. Oh, and the things that come out of her mouth! I'm going to have to start writing down more of what she says...she really keeps us laughing.
That's it for today...if I want a shower I need to get it while Phoenix is sleeping, and my window of opportunity is slowly vanishing!
